Transponder is a digital electronic receiving and transmitting process with certain frequencies.Transponder is a Combination of transmitter and Responder.It works as a mediator for transmission and receiving.The transponders are only in Communication satellites, each transponder has different and so many types of channels.These are like Audio, Video, Data compressed, Streaming channels and Multiplexing and Demultiplexing channels. The transponder has uplink and downlink frequencies, the uplink frequency is mainly used for transmitting the radio signal to transponder in the satellite from Earth station, so transponder receives the signal or data from Earth station with uplink frequency.
The downlink frequency is used for receiving the signal or data from transponder to earth stations and Transponder is transfer the radio signal data from one place to another place without cable mediator facility.It travel through a single transponder to any location of earth stations in the world.Transponder receives and transmit the radio signal at particular frequency. Uplink and downlink are contain different frequencies for each transponder and the transponder is very expensive. The television have been taking the lease and agreement for few years for communication and sending the audio, video, data compressed.The transponder data transfer specifications are too advanced than data transfer on earth.
